Trial Grounds

Location
The Rocky Mountain Region home ground is located on the SW corner of Hwy 74 and WC Rd 57 in Weld County, Colorado with the access road located off west side of road 57, as you come thru the 10ft overhang at the entrance, you will find the lake where the members usually park and stake out their string.
This field is where we host majority of the weekend double X double trials. Since of 2002 we have also moved our Regional Championship to this location. The A and the B field are near 40 acres each and consist of natural terrace with a fencerow on the south end of the property as the boundary.  The A and B are separated by a 20acre pie shaped buffer zone that starts at the starting line that extended to 300ft wide on the far end. The landscapes on both fields are uniquely decorated. However, they both consist of prairie grass fields that changes in to Yucca patch with mix of sagebrush to complement the native wildlife, over 300 yard of hedge row can also be found on the B field, these are the settings you will find when out wild bird hunting in this part of the country, just as wild pheasants are often found when we filling up the water tanks on these fields.
In order to keep the competition level for the members, the trial grounds are closed to public training except the day before the trial when capable. However, ATV usage is off limits except on the scheduled trial days.
