Is it possible to be a completive Sportsman?
                                                                        By Rene Schmitt

Is it possible to give your dog the same inspirational talk after he’s hunted his heart out only finding one bird that you are giving the guy next to you while drinking a cold one?
I believe so……………..

Is it possible while judging to be a gentleman with your direction, knowledgeable about your decisions and up lifting in your comments on a handlers or dogs performance?
I believe so……………..

It possible to train hard with an intense desire to win that borders obsession and still know true meaning of success?
I believe so....................

Is id possible to be elated for your fellow trialers placement all the while envy whisper “ it should had been me”
I believe so……………..

Is it possible to be gracious with thanks to your judge, for having the tenacity and determination the whole day through, against all odds?
I believe so……………..

Is it possible to be able to welcome with open arms the rookies of the sport, never glancing with the evil eye for the intrusion upon your bird mathematics?
I believe so……………..

Is it possible that the sport of field trial could die if there were no birds to plant by the bird planter, no judges to compare and place us, no entries to fill the braces, no field marshals to call us to the line, no chairman to organize and host the trials?
I believe so……………..

Is it possible for a true, competitive sportsman to value each and every job giving only constructive comments never falling victim to slanderous or destructive ways?
I believe so……………..

Is it possible for the sport of field trial to continue on its up ward track, flourishing in new found friends and the next generation of dogs to amaze us?
I believe so……………..
